HELP!!!
I moved to Essex on Monday, moved the horse to a livery yard that is directly behind the house i am living in and i HATE the yard!!
When i looked round i wasn't overly impressed but my Mother (!) persuaded me that it would be ok as a temporary measure.
I was under the impression that there would be some kind of assistance, i.e a feed and T/O in the morning or bring in the eve if need be, on occasions when i couldn't be there to do it, i was wrong!!
Now, i know its DIY so i fully expect to do everything myself, thats fine, however, i cannot tell my horse that she can't be fed when her neighbors are fed because i am not able to be at the yard at 5am!!
There are odd occasions when i won't be able to get to do the horse every morning and every night, especially as my new job is shift work in London, meaning i can only do 1 end of the day.
They don't seem a very friendly bunch, i have tried chatting to a few of them but they really aren't my cup of tea, not meaning to be rude or unkind i am just not used to being on that type of yard, for want of a better expression its chav central!
So..... Does anybody know of anywhere within 20 mins of *ahem*Canvey*cough* Island that does part/assisted livery??
Doesn't have to be anything exciting, just brick stables, a half decent school and some T/O (24hr in the summer would be good but not essential) and a tack room!
I am desperate to get out of that place, i hate it, only saving grace is that my horse seems quite settled which is good or i think i'd be hot stepping it back to Surrey!!
Sorry for the ramble, i am just so upset that the yard is so horrid.
I am going to go over to Ingatestone saddlery later and see if there is anything on their board for livery spaces in the area, any other places i can look? Suggestions please peeps, i need your help!!
