Essex riding club recommendations / Transport buddy

Can anybody recommend me a riding club in Essex. I am based near Chelmsford. A little un sure about joining one as you do hear of some being so clicky. Looking for a club that holds clinics so i can have a go at XC schooling. Would also be nice to have a go at riding for a team.

Also on another note, if anybody would like to team up for transport PM me. I do not have my own transport, I normally hire. But this can work out expensive for me to go places alone. Or if some one has a spare space on their lorry / trailer that my 16hh gelding could fill, we can make our own arrangements between us so as to cover costs for this.
We normally do Dressage at Prelim. Hoping to to have a go at Novice before the end of the year. I am also looking to start jumping again, so some jumping trips will also be arranged. Plus just general hacking, long distance rides etc. If anyone wants to keep me company?

Hiya, I'm part of High Fenn riding club.. They do a bit of everything with loads of clinics XC schooling days etc. They do a lot up at Wix EC.. not sure how far that is from you?

There are probably more local ones for you to look into, but I can really rate High Fen, it's always a fun day

try Ingatestone & Blackmore Riding Club, based at and work with Writtle College, lots of clinics throughout the year +a couple of camps each year. dressage, showjumping and arena eventing comps during the year. Affiliated to BRC so chance to compete in team events if you wish and once we know what you can do (yes I'm one of the Committee ) ). Website is www.ibrc-online.co.uk
