Well if they arent they bloomin well should be.
Take 1 lame horse , on Bromide to calm him, going back to Vets in morning as still lame after 6 months.
Put Bridle on put lunge line on attached to opposite bit ring over top of head
Put Gloves on
Put Hard Hat on (TG)
Open Gate to field holding lunge line by bit ring
Take horse into field shut gate.......
There easy isnt it let the poor little treasure have a bit of grasss. . . . .
Little treasure rears up (17 and never ever done before)
Slams front feet (including poorly leg) back down on the ground having succeeded in ripping a few feet of lunge line out of hand
Rears again this time embellishing it with a rear pirouette if there is such a thing swings round and comes down with his nice squishy owner in the mud between his poorly legs.
Snorts leaps over squishy owner and demonstrates his best impression of the Calgary Stampede broncos a la Cleveland Bay.
Proceeds to demonstrate his paces in a flat out gallop around the field with the lunge line trailing between his legs.
Stops snorts a lot and then proceeds to demonstrate that he can gallop equally fast with a lunge line attached on the opposite rein.
Finally skids to a halt and lets his loving owner limp across the field and catch him.
While all this was happening as his owner treated herself to a really good cry Yard hand (who is Polish and doesnt speak English very well) responds to her wailing of get a bucket quick by gesticulating wildly that he is actually on the phone.
Still not sure if I was going to tempt lovely horsey with nuts or just throw the Bloomin bucket at him.
Thank goodness he was doped up on Bromide!!
