What is the definitive answer please! Can i give my ponies the odd branch to eat or chew on? I have googled it and very mixed results from "It's good for horses" to "Its poisonous for horses" ! Just had to take the top off an over grown sapling and don't want to waste it if it will be fun for them to play with.
Many thanks.

Living in Aus none of the horses voluntarily browsed on eucalyptus (gum trees) unless it was the only food available.
Also there are 100s of different types of eucalyptus with different oils and properties. It's unlikely to be toxic, but I'd check the exact species, based on the fact most Australian species are trying to kill you ?
