Me & big ears have finally cracked a 20m circle on both reins, balanced, coming through from behind, and really travelling beneath me, he was soft and round and I didn't forget to continue riding went he relaxed and obliged!!
It was fantastic, felt amazing and I think I could quite like schooling now!!!
Jack is my homebred, big lad, with very few miles on the clock due to work, family, no schooling facilities etc. He is very green, mainly because I'm not so good at the schooling stuff but this is changing due to the very kind assistance of another livery, who seems to have enjoyed taking me under her wing and has improved my riding so much that I am finally able to communicate to my horse in a way he understands and today was the day it all came together.
We've a long way to go but maybe one day we'll produce a balanced canter - I can but dream!! Seriously though I haven't stopped smiling I'm so pleased
Silly gushy post I know but these small steps are a major milestone for me and Jack an I wanted to share my delight!
Anyway no food for getting this far because its bad to eat just before bedtime and I'm off to bed now but I will say thanks for reading
