It was absolute chaos when hickstead did the dressage euros a couple of years ago! A23 was at a standstill for hours, i dont think there is the room at H'std! x

Am glad it's at Windsor as I'll hopefully be doing an MA about 20mins from there.

Much as people bang on about Hickstead being ideal - it doesn't have that much seating really - it's packed on Derby day, let alone what it would be like for the Europeans. Not to mention the two main stands really need to be repaired. Plus the traffic problems - you can't walk from the train station, so it's drive or taxi. Hickstead to me would seriously have to be redesigned to be able to cope with massive numbers

I agree that Hickstead is not suitable because of transport, access and lack of seating with good sightlines. Envy the facilities the venues in other countries - particularly Aachen!

Its true that hickstead probably isnt ideal for this - hopefully Dane and his team will be involved in some way though. Hickstead has sdone so much and been so innovative inthe dressage world in recent years - we owe much to them.....

Dane gets my vote for new BD Chair xx
