Looking at buying these (Cheap and I can collect).

However, as they are so light I am concerned that they move around the stable (we will not be fitting out the whole stable, just one half and not to the edges. Are they liable to move risking injury and resulting in lots of regular lifting to clean underneath? (They also do not appear to be dimpled or anything to aid drainage.

I have some of these. In my gelding's stable he has them under some shavings and they stay put.

I have tried them without a bed on top and they move around a lot if they are not butted up against something.

My mare had two mats with a bed alongside to stop them moving. The corner one stayed put but the one next to it moved about 10 inches and needed sliding back. I then put them into the middle an created big banks round them and they stayed. I think if they are secure on three sides youre ok
