I'm looking at getting matting for my stable. It has a concrete floor, but no slope/drainage.

I think my option is to purchase straight edged, but ensure they are fitted to full size of stable, to avoid movement. This would require some trimming as my stable is smallish, which would be a shame if I were to move yards, as I'd en up with trimmed mats.

Or, I can go for the rubber matting uk interlocking Eva mays. Apparently, these don't have to be so closely fitted - might be ok with a bigger gap at one side etc. But, I've seen somewhere that people have commented that the jigsaw edges can stretch/warp creating small gaps, or making it difficult to relay mats after cleaning.

Any experience much appreciated.....

I have the EVA jigsaw type mats, but there are some straight edges too as I have a 14x14 box. To be honest, both edges can warp, more so if you take them up & dry them in the sun for a day or two. Now I flush the mats through with green gloop & water rather than lift them which is far quicker.

I also recommend getting a flat surface for the underneath to stop sludge accumulating. Mine (Equimat) have the same finish both sides, so could be turned over if necessary.
