Who do those of you that host shows, events, clinics at your yard get event insurance from?

Do you insure for public liability, personal accident and have any of you managed to get insurance that covers any fee's should you have to cancel due to bad weather?

We have asked competitors to ensure they have their own public liability insurance too.

All the quotes I've had so far have been ££££ so all recommendations will be gratefully received :D

call SEIB, Shearwater and NFU. You will then get a well rounded set of choices (NFU sometimes are not interested in event liability)

Have not bothered with abandonment myself, have found that taking it on the chin now and again is cheaper than the premiums

Competitors public liability insurance is irrelevant, and not your problem. It will not stop you getting sued; injured party will write a long list of names, whoever ese is on there is not your problem

NFU won't do the liability only if you are not an existing client but if you include cancellation cover, property cover etc then it will be fine to quote. They have a specific shows and events short term policy for this
