I'm just in the process of filling in my form for BD winter membership for eventers thingy and have a quick question. It says if you horse is imported you need to prove date of import etc otherwise you'll be give points depending on how old horse is.

Now it says this on BE forms too but everyone i know who's put Irish on BE hasn't had to prove anything/show documentation etc and just started with 0 points as normal. Is this the same with BD? I don't have any proof of importation or anything along those lines.....

Ta in advance if anyone knows

They were a nigtmare when I registered ! Gave my horse 450 points !!! ( I quickly put together his ad " 17.3hh gelding 450 BD points £30,000 )
If the horse has previously been registered with BE or BSJA they will accept documentation from them stating the horse arrived with no points etc ? Not sure if they class ireland as one of the main import countries - they are more concerned with Germany etc I think
How old is the horse ?

Your OK if the horse is from Ireland. If you have vaccination cert to show when horse has been vaccinated this will also show what age it came to the UK. If you receive points you can ask for the horse to be assessed etc. Give the BD office a call

I know the grey in my sig was initially registered by his owner BE and BD with no points and was imported from Ireland with no info. His owner is Rachelferd, I'm sure she won't mind a PM asking her what she did? I don't do BD so I'm not too sure?!

If horse has been imported from Ireland, they arent slapped on with a load of points (unless they were imported into Ireland, then over to UK)
