Hello

Does anyone know what the white "socks" some event horses have on under their xc boots are called? What they are for? and where I could get some?

Thanks in advance!

i know some use tubigrip under xc boots. I never have personally, im sure i read someting once which said it wasnt really beneficial. maybe someone can enlighten us?

It is tubigrip - helps to stop the boots rubbing and slipping.
When I groomed many years ago we also found it useful as you could use the tubigrip that was already on to apply ice straight away to when cooling off.

You can get it at pharmacies but it costs a fortune - I normally buy a long roll off the web, much more cost effective. The last lot was from Barrier Healthcare

but it depends on your horses bone as to what size you need.

I will have a look at home what mine is as cannot remember.

Brilliant thank you, my horse's boots are rubbing him out hunting at the mo, I had a feeling that was what it was for and thought it looked like tubigrip but wasn't sure! Thank you for the info!

Yes it's just tubi grip!!! Helps prevent any dirt getting inside the boot and irritating/rubbing
