Oh Pants! We all know that the organisation is still only just getting back on its feet after all the strife (and still another one or two difficult matters to address) and that all the politics have taken a toll on the cohesion and communication within the eventing community. It seems to me that there have been some rather rash decisions made and this is another rule implemented without due consideration in an effort to be seen doing something.

That is daft, the number of times I manage to topple off after a refusal

I'd get sick of being eliminated

I've been watching the full badminton XC video, and nearly all the rider falls are just a step off/easy roll.

I am fully in agreement with a horse fall being an elimination, a horse can't tell you if something hurts, but riders can, and 99.99% will retire voluntarily if they don't feel up to continuing.

Nanny state, and a lot of panicing has led to this decision (IMO).
