hi,
does anyone subsribe? is it worth it?
my grannny has given me "you horse" as a subscription for the last couple of years and its ncie to get through the posrt, but tbh i dont really like reading it that much anymore as about 99% of it is no use or relevance to me.
 
I like eventing. Theyre always quite behind on reports and you feel like you already know whats gone on from H&H but the articles can be quite interesting
 
thanks, its probably not something i would buy myself on subscription, but its nice to have something come through the door...and is a easy present for my granny to buy!!
 
i always get it. agree with Boss, a lot of the reports are exactly the same as in H&H, but there are good reports of the lower level events, all results, etc.
betraying my age here, but it was much much nicer when the results were tabulated per event, 1st to 10th in every class, not running from one line to another as they do now, but i know it took up much more space.

Know what you mean about Your Horse!! I had a gift subscription of it a few years ago and I rarely found anything of any great relevance to me.

Eventing's quite good, although I've only read a couple of copies. Best subscription I've ever invested in is H&H!!
 
hate to say this on an IPC forum but Horse is probably the best read of all of them really good articles etc and well written which is why it was the first mag i approached to write for. however if its specificly eventing you want to read about then there is only one choice though i do agree with what boss and all have said
 
Horse is good. Mix of articles.

Not so keen on YH.

Eventing is good, makes for an ok read.

I found that when I subscribed to H&H it turned up after the Thurs and by that time I had already read it in the supermarket!!!!
 
I believe Horse's circulation is quite a lot smaller than H&H's actually.... so I'm not quite sure how Horse is the best read?
 
Oh I see, perhaps you mean Horse is the best read, as in the best to read, not that it's the best read, as in the one which is read the most?!
 
I love Eventing and I would much rather get that than Horse or Your Horse. However the issues over the winter months aren't as good as the rest of the year due to the lack of competitions. When I am living at home we also fight for the first read of the mag as it comes through the door. But we do that for H&H as well, lol.
 
I have subscribed for a few years to eventing mag but am about to cancel mine. As others say by the time it is delivered you have most likely read the report in H&H. Some of the articles OK but to me not worth subscribing for, would rather pick up a copy as and when.
 
thanks everyone...i really just dont find horse/horse and rider/your horse at all what i am interested in any more and yeh its nice to have but i dont really read it
