Ok, we are not even half way through the winter.... and I am already suffering from event withdrawel symptoms!!
Roll on JAS in the spring where we can wear xc colours again....
Anyone else feeling like this or is it just me being extremely sad???

Me too! I cant wait till march! Its been too windy to even go SJ today,, didnt want to risk driving the trailer. Go away wind! ROll on spring!

Agh! ME TOO! I want to event! Pure Show jumping is boring in comparison! Who is going to be at Stilemans in March? I will be there I can't wait already!

I am the same...didnt realise how much I loved it till it stopped in October. I'm hoping to do the first Tweseldown in March! JAS and Grasshoppers before then. Can't wait..

I'm going stir crazy. I hate the mud, the wet, the wind - having to wheelbarrow my tack across the field and scrape the mud off the pony. And the dark!

I'm going hunting next weekend which should hopefully blow away the cobwebs a bit - but roll on March!!

Stilemans or Tweseldown? got to make more money then could do both

clearly you lot are all stil freshly inlove with it all. personally by the time i get to october i cant wait until its all over! Waut until you get old and jaded like me and then you will be thinking hopw best to make a case for NOT going to the usually awful going/weather at stilemans or isleham!

Whats Grasshoppers?

Another way for BE to make money out of the masses but essentiallly you do a small sj round then get it assessed/marked by a learned judge. You would be better off having a good lesson or doing a couple BSJA classes for the money it costs!

I can't decide between stilemans or tweseldown. I want to do stilemans because it is sooner but tweseldown is so much nicer, oh I don't know what I'm doing but I can;t wait

I can wait so busy trying to iron out all the kinks and problems I had last year in order to make progress this year. I loathe JAS so am definately not parting with any money for it. But Boss - I can see Moon being ideal for it.
I need several sessions with water jumps/SJ/Dressage then think I might be ready! Will be trying the Bridget Parker method this year!
I also need to save some money!

I used to be soo keen to do the first event of the year.. now im thinking i'll just wait untill everything is a bit more 'ready' before sending the entries off.. wont stop one owner entering the first event of the season tho.. but it's lovely to think you're doing a good enough job, to make said owner so keen

Stilton, grasshoppers is actually really good, see www.grasshopperssj.com and I would recommend it. A lesson might be better value for money but you get to do a course at a strange venue, comments from a good trainer (true your normal trainer is probably good but sometimes a different take is interesting) and then you get marks for style and the opportunity to qualify for a final

Bee will do Isleham first weekend in March as it is a lovely course on good soil. It is also one of our nearest events. Hopefully it will be a little warmer this year. (-8 last year)

Just filling in my SEA Arena Event entry forms - yipee! First one's on the 14th Jan. And after me saying I wouldn't be doing them this season (I'm having withdrawl symptoms after 4 weeks off competing!).

Baby's having go at Intro and wee grey one is doing PN and N.

Only bad thing's the 4 am start on the January/February mornings to get to the venues.....brrrrrr.....!
