Had a great schooling session the other day and I somehow ended up nearly doing a canter pirouette - how the hell did I manage that?????

He certainly knows the moves - just loves avading!

Wow how exciting! reminds me of the first time I did shoulder in. Was on a riding holiday
and hadn't a clue what the instructor was talking about. the horse just did it anyway and everyone had to watch because we were the only ones that got it right! I did feel a fraud.

My joker produced passage one day when we were out hacking with his lady love, a glamourous chestnut mare. We were passing a field with three geldings in it and they all came over to have a look. His lordship drew himself up from 15.2 to 17.2, collected, arched his neck and passaged up the road. It was nothing to do with me and it may never happen again but it felt great at the time!

I don't know how I did it though! When I first got him he kept doing strange turns - all to evade a contact....what a character....

my old pony always acts like a dobbin when my friends used to ride her...when I got on her I dont quite know what happened but she would turn into a jumping, cantering, excitable youngster again.....a friend rode her and managed to also do some dressage moves which I didnt even realise she knew...she was great....
She is very clever and you always have to be two steps ahead of her....!!
