I'm starting to think we're going to have one for life I swear. Not had one single phone call for her. Dropped the price right down to peanuts [though she was never up for much anyway!] and still nothing.
Poor little mare.
All our other cobs are selling fine, but got one pony mare we just cannot shift for the life of us! Actually thinking of BOGOF offer with a cob. Have a colt, get a mare free! LOL. Joking. Sort of.
Anyone else got one they just can't shift?

Lol I wouldn't go to that extreme, if push came to shove I'd just use her as a broody or get her backed and broken if I had to. But glad not the only person in the same boat lol!

Foxee I would but think it might be classed as advertising so probably best not to.

In same boat trying to sell samba, we just have a love hate relationship. I put her up for what I paid now only phone call "how fast does she trot?". I have decided its fate what happens so far I can still see her from my bedroom window lol.

Nope she's just a youngster [4 this year], about 14hh or there abouts, that needs a job now other than being a lawn mower bless her. She has a blue eye [a random blue eye, not a wall eye] which might put people off.

Aw hope you find someone for Samba soon! Shall we rent a field a stick them in together lol.

I have tried to sell Vardi twice now.

First time was as a re-backed 4.5 year old, someone came and loved him offered full asking price, three days before he moved he cast himself, doing extensive damage and having to spend 8 months as a pasture ornament to heal.

Slow re-start again and a month ago I realized that we are not a ridden match, put him up for sale again, two offers this time for full asking price and he failed the vetting on early ringbone!

So I am giving up and accepting that fate is telling me not to sell him, he is off to one of my friends in the UK to be put into light work to see if he stays sound and to put some riding miles on him.

I have a strange feeling that in three years time when I go back to the UK he will have matured and I will have got my fragile confidence back and I will in all probability wind up with him as my riding horse, if on the other hand he does not say sound then he will end up back with me as a pasture puff/companion.

My friend is saying never decide to sell him again as god knows what he will come up with to avoid it the next time....I think he has just decided that I am his mum and that is that.

yup.

i reckon my mare is 'meant to be' with me. no interest ever in her, the one occasion she was almost sold the girl had her on a months trial and pulled out the night before. she always come's back like a bad penny ;)

the little beggar is here to stay now :D
