Can I ask what boots people use for schooling Jumping lessons and local competitions. I have always used woolf wear but have been vey unimpressed with my last pair they have not lasted long and are breaking up. I have a set of equilibrium front brushing boots they fit ok but seem to not be a brilliant fit.

So sugestions please he is a 15.2 ISH (but more cobby) and has quite chunky legs.

thanks

i always use the woof wear brushing boots too, mine last for ages. I haven't bought a full price pair yet either. Try looking on ebay you can normally pick some up that are virtually new but less than half the price. Had a couple of pairs of "no name" boots off ebay too which have been fab. Mine get repaired and repaired for everyday and keep a better pair for comps/lessons etc.

I only have two pairs of boots for jumping - tri-zone tendon & fetlock boots (the orange ones! :D) which are brilliant, had them a fair while now and they look really good & smart, seem quite strong and don't appear to make the legs hot.
And a pair of sabre tendon boots, which are second hand and still look lovely & do their job :)
I really need to buy some more just haven't got round to it!

snap with the boot paranoia!!!

I've just purchased a pair of the Equilibrium Trizone All Sports Boots, they keep the leg cool, v supportive, so hoping for the best, as my horse has suffered a bit of tendon damage back in Feb.

I trawled through soooooo many boots!!!

I have the Trizone allsport ones, and think they'rem pretty good. Very cool, and supportive, but I tend to use them XC, hunting, Teamchasing, and use scrappy ones at home, as Ballet tends to demolish any smart ones within weeks!

lol Samuelwhiskers, I have had Mick 6 years and never used boots not even to hunt. Last week I got him a pair of Premier Equine wraps for everyday work. :D Poor lad hates boots. He definately won't be a happy bunny.

I use an old pair of veredus tendon boots infront and occasionally bandages behind at home, but regularly don't use hind boots tbh!
For fast work at home, I use her Trizone XC boots (the aircooled ones) and bandages behind :)

She SJ's in trizone tendon boots infront, and cheapy Masta fetlock boots behind. XC we use Trizone front boots and prolites behind. I am going to get her some trizone fetlock boots too, as the masta's do the job, but don't fit brilliantly!

NEW brushing boots which may actually be old XC ones - they are a bit tatty now.... but the velcro seems to stay good!!!

NEW lightweight or aircooled boots in front at home and for comps. i very occasionally use hind boots, have a pair of Premier Equine Aircooled for xc.

Kerilli, do you prefer the Lite or air cooled NEW? Trying to decide which to buy...

I agree with Kerilli on the PE air cooled! They're fab! I only use them for XC though, at home I don't use anything at all as my boy is pretty careful. I love my PE Air Cooled though but would quite like a further cheaper pair for schooling XC so I can keep the PEs for best.

Wilbs wears Bronson's old trizone brushing boots (from before they changed the style) for pretty much everything, and I've just got him a set of Premier Equine aircooled XC boots (on recommendation from people off here ;)) for when he's doing 'proper' xc, as he's still a bit of a numpty where his legs are concerned!

Bronson used to wear the trizones allround for hacking and flatwork, and for jumping he had a cheapo pair of masta tendon boots and then usually the trizones behind but sometimes a pair of fleecy westropp brushing boots.

Ooh boots - my favourites!
My two boys have:
Equilibrium trizone boots for hacking/some schooling
Polo wraps for flatwork when I have time! Like the JW ones which are half fleece half elasticated
mark Todd carbon fibre tendon boots for SJ lessons and comps, both also have an 'everyday' pair of tendon boots (one pair woof wear one of mark Todd) for jumping at home as smart ones live in the lorry
and finally for properly fast work and XC they both have PE aircooled boots!

While some people collect rugs..... I have boots!!
Seriously tho am very happy with all of the above!
