I have just returned my hound puppies back to their kennels, and have to say that puppy walking has been one of the most enjoyable and rewarding experiences I have ever had.
This was my first attempt at puppy walking and although quite apprehensive, was blessed with two obedient and loveable characters that became a big part of our lives for the 6 mnths they lived with us.
Any advice for others? Have eyes in the back of your heads, don't let them in the house, and put everything away or it will become instant puppy toys - at least it taught all my liveries to tidy up after themselves! I can't wait until next spring to have some more, and will be very excited to see my two in action next season.
So, if you are asked to have some too, give it some thought - if you have the space and time it really is good fun - just don't be like me and cry in front of your kennel huntsman when you have to return them!!

Glad you enjoyed it but do have to take you to task for one thing at least! They are so easy to house train, far better than any other type of dog we have ever had and trustworthy too although you would never ever leave them inside the house without you being there, that would be suicidal! You just have to get used to putting things away or at the back of the units and if you ever see one jumping up at them to give them a hiding as it hurts their pride, they hate to do anything wrong! We walked pups for nearly 25 years, loved every minute of it and would do it again in a heartbeat if we didn't have so many dogs of our own now.
If you copy and paste, some pic's of hounds 'at home' should come up!

Never thought about house training them! Mind you on the rare occasion they did get in, my little boys toys were always the first target, much lego was swallowed, and we still can't find his red power ranger!
The most bizzare thing they managed to do was to remove my quad bike keys from the ignition and bury them in their stable.............
Loved the photos
