ex broodmare producing clear fluid

Has been owned for 10 weeks - unknown when the second (last) foal was weaned.

Fluid is coming out of one teat. Not swollen or painful. Mare doesn't appear to be in season but has been in season during 10 week ownership.

Any advice would appreciated.

If she's fine, don't worry, just keep an eye on it. My mare foaled 2 years ago and periodically I notice clear fluid leaking from her teats - it doesn't bother her at all.

Thanks. I seen it and thought she was pregnant at first!

Vet's out on Friday so will get them to double check.

Thanks! It's a relief as I was reading online that it can be a sign of cushings etc. Horses eh!

Perfectly normal. My mare did it for 10 yrs after her first foal.
