Well we had our lovely boy out for his first show of the season at the weekend and once again he had issues with the viewing gallery - arghhh.

First class was a write off due to him repeatedly running sideways past the horrifying specatators and he stood bottom of 14! Then in the next class it was like someone flicked a switch and he never even flickered, won the ex-racehorse class and then the Hack/Riding Horse class too. Really proud of him and my daughter.

Think we are going to have to a hire an indoor and rent a mob to come along for practice :)

It's usually because the racers aren't used to seeing the grand stands that close up and at a sedate speed :D I'm sure your lovely beastie will get used to them in time! Mine always does his first class sideways and then turns into a complete dream to ride after that.

I would maybe get a smaller browband though :X :D

He's lovely Well done :). Hope he gets over his issues soon.
He obviously goes very well when the world isn't out to get him ;)

Ours is very used to seeing the grandstand close up at slow speed lol - he ran numerous times on the flat and over hurdles and never got even a place!! :)
