After fetlock bone chips removed, broken withers, getting caught in electric fencing and bashing his leg on a gate, he has now stood on himself.

Only thing I can say is he doesn't do things by halves. Waiting for vet...again...

White is aluminium spray to try and protect it a bit.

Nasty :(.

As an ex-racer owner myself, I can fully sympathise. Some horses are just walking vet bills, no matter how good their management, amymay. Mine's on 24/7 turn out with company, mineral balanced, low sugar/starch high fibre feed and still has an incident every month - I can set my watch by it.

That's over 7 years Amymay. He's turned out 24/7 most of the year, in overnight when it's proper winter. I had him on full livery for a couple of months late spring when my other horse died until I got my new one and that's when he bashed the gate.

Doesn't seem to make a difference whether he's in or out.

The fetlock injury was eventing.
