How much would an ex-racer be from a trainer?

and how much would a nice sane, allrounder, hacks out on own and in company, good to shoe, box, catch & clip & age up to 15 years cost?

depends on the trainer, an ott can be anything from 0 - a couple of thou. Some trainers do more flat work than others and some take them hunting too so obviously they are a better bet as far as making the change is concerned. To buy one from someone who has done all the work and had them out and about, you could pay just the same as you would for any kind of horse with the same experience. Once they are re-trained most are just the same as any other horse of that ilk.
