Are you sure he's not just keeping the cat warm and still until you disappear ?

I so wish mine were like this as my poor cat can't be in the same room unless I'm there. Has he always been OK or did you train him somehow?

He's always been pretty good with her but when he first came he'd bark at her. I never quite trusted him cause he'd have that "stare". She's an old cat and doesn't run around so I think that helps.
Outside both my dogs are big cat hunters and know where they live, so they are ok with mine but not others.
