Excellent customer service does still exist!

Just wanted to come on and praise Chestnut Horse Feeds for their excellent customer service.

I normally order their Alpha Easy mix but wanted something with a little bit more pep for Kasper. I spent a while last night on their website looking at the different mixes they offer and decided on Alpha Cool mix. Put it in my basket and paid for it.

Got a phone call this morning from the lovely lady at CHF saying she had just processed the order and noticed the change in feed. She said it was quite a bit jump from the one to the other so wanted to make sure I was getting the right feed for my horse.

We discussed Kaspers work load and condition etc and decided that the Cool mix would be too much for him and she advised to stay on Alpha Easy but buy a bag of straight oats so i could adjust the amount to suit Kasper.

She immediately refunded my original purchase and I have re-ordered the alpha easy and oats.

After so much bad customer service from other companies (wink wink Derby House) it was such a nice surprise that they took the time to contact me and assist me in my feed choice.

No real point to this post just though we spend so much time complaining about bad service that the good service often gets overlooked.
 
That really is great customer service. Perhaps we should have a thread of companies who do give good service and who you would recommend, something like the local magazine we have occasionally which lists recommended services?
 
I have to add Feedmark to the list of excellent customer service. I spoke to a lovely lady yesterday about trying Clarity for my horse with a bit of a dust allergy and she was fab. We talked through everything - the work he was doing, how he was kept, what he's fed etc and then said she'd send out a sample for us to try to make sure he'd eat it.

Now that really is fantastic customer service.
 
Wow that is attention to detail!

Hmmmmm the less said about DH the better!

Most companies probably would have just sent the new feed i'd ordered and left me to find out myself if it made my horse hyper!

Really pleased Istumbled upon the Chestnut Horse Feed stand at Your Horse Live two years ago, havent fed anything else since :D
 
Viovet have been brilliant when there are problems with stock or wen asking questions.
Dengie sent me more than enough vouchers when i asked about the change to their AlfaA being more powdery that caused a horse to stop eating it, very thorough reply.

Shires and Dublin have both ignored me even though i had complaints.
 
Chesnuts are fab and the drivers are so helpful. They have delivered in snow, ice never late! They ring and always ready to help and discuss! Very useful. Horseware at other end of spectrum, talk about unhelpful!
 
Great to hear! Ariat get my vote for customer service, they have replaced my boots twice over 3 years because I had issues with the zip.
 
www.horsedirect.co.uk is fab for supplements and feed, everything always gets delivered in a day or two and the one time something I ordered was going to take a day longer than usual to be dispatched, I got a lovely text asking if this was ok or would I prefer a refund! Now to me that's good customer service. I also like hyper drug for my wormers, never had any problems with them either.
 
I bought a girth from equiport that rubbed my horse after very little use. I sent them back the girth within two weeks and a photo but they sent it back saying tough, basically !
 
Mrsmozart, I've missed you, haven't been on as i broke my laptop. Delighted you had such good service, doesn't happen to often any more. Great to see it. Wish it happened more often here, all you get here is "we can't.... "
 
Ruggles rugs are another company with great customer service. I wanted a particular colour rug from them but website said out of stock. Spoke to somebody on Facebook on Sunday night about 10pm, they told me they had found one rug in my size and colour while doing a stock check but as it wasn't on the website I would need to ring the office next day. They had a deal on free postage until midnight Sunday night so I asked would I still be able to get free postage if I rang on Monday, she said yes no problem. Rang on Monday lunchtime, no fuss ordering as the woman on the phone had obviously been told I would ring for this particular rug and that I wasn't to be charged for postage. Rugs were delivered by lunchtime the following day! Excellent customer service in my opinion, and excellent rugs too. Just hope they fit now!
