Just becareful you run the risk of not understanding what is going on, or worrying yourself over something that you need not worry about.

Funny about that, the websites were more reassuring than the vets this time! GTs is right though - a little knowledge is a dangerous thing - but a horse owner with little knowledge is a disaster waiting to happen!

Veterinary Notes for Horse Owners (Captain M Horace Hayes) has been knocked off the No 1 scary spot by the BHS Veterinary Manual. It's much more modern, too. TIP - Let the vet diagnose and use the books/sites to gen up on the condition. The power of this forum is not to be underestimated either. Lots of useful advice and plenty of support for those 'less than upbeat' moments.
