I collected my new horse over the week end and so far he has settled in really well, I am confused or un sure about excersise boots, I am a maturish rider who has had several horses in the past albeit years ago and never used boots or bandages, tbh not many horess did, however now you never really see horse without them, my horse when I tried him had boots front & back, these never came with him, so do you think that I need to buy them for him, he is only hacking and the odd jump in the school, if you think that I do , any recommendations, I don't want to spend bucket loads and popped into Decathlon yesterday and saw some there - cheap.

Any thoughts would be very welcome as I don't really know waht to do and I want to ride him today. Thanks

I wouldn't bother buying them to be honest. I love the Veredus boots and have many different types, but I bought a really cheap pair of tendon boots recently, and they do the job just fine. I only boot up when I am at shows or jumping big. Never for hacking or schooling, not even for small jumps.

prevention is better than the cure!u can buy cheap boots which will offer general protection and support for all activities. however, go ahead and ride him until u get them! there are so many on offer, prob best asking in the shop and they will point u in the best direction, good luck

i would always put front brushing and over reach on each time i ride. this is purely because i mostly do hacking and you just dont know what could happen. Woof boots are good and not expensive at all. you should be able to pick them up on ebay quite cheap.

I have many pairs of Woof Club Boots, and I think they are brilliant. I use them every time I ride or lunge, for just in case! I think they are a great boot, durable, easy to clean, come in different colours and sizes and cost around the £17.
