Exercise Bandages

Do you need to put any protection under exercise bandages, as you would stable bandages?

Only going to be using exercise bandages for flat work/lunging.

It depends what exercise bandages you have.... A lot of the modern ones have 'inbuilt' padding... but ifd they don't then yes, you should pad.

Yes! Unless they are the half fleece ones or polo bandages

They are SHIRES ELASTICATED SUPPORTIVE EXERCISE BANDAGES.

Haven't used them before ....

Tend to use stretch and flex wraps but they are in the wash lol

I would be careful if you don't know how to use them properly don't use them. If not put on correctly, pressure can cause more harm than good to your horse..

Just my advice..

By the sounds of the ones you've got need pads under them

Yes there is; a thin quilted pad works well with elasticated exercise bandages. I prefer fleece polo bandages myself; no need to pad and hard to over-tighten (not impossible 'tho - bandages need to be very carefully applied).
