We've had the most unlucky run possible and are finally able to begin jumping our pony who pulled a check ligament. Our other one is just about to start ridden work after a bang to the branch of her suspensory (though thankfully no damage to it).

Are there any boots that would give more support to ligaments on forelegs and fetlocks behind than a basic pair of tendon and fetlock boots? I'm not keen on the sports medicine ones as they always seem to slip or absorb moisture..

Thanks

I use the equilibrium training wraps but it depends on what you are wanting them for as they are no good for xc as the slip when wet.

My horse sustained a very nasty fetlock injury in april and has worn them for inhand walk post box rest and turn out.

I have found them to give the most supportive but yet they breathe throught the little bobbles.

However i have just ordered a pair of premier equine sports boots and they have a new breatheable design and im so impressed im going to buy another pair.

The other choice maybe the professionals choice SMB's as they give great support but dont fit my mares legs that well.

We use the Professional Choice SMB's and don't have a problem with them getting waterlogged, or heating up the horse's legs too much.

At the very end of the day let's be honest, any kind of support boot isn't really going to be able to do much with a 500kgs or heavier horse to support. But they do help to an extent, particularly against knock injuries and the like.
