Exercises for portly shetland youngster

As title really. Jethro suddenly looks 10 months pregnant so need some ideas of getting the weight off.

He's only a year, so have been doing a little bit of lunging, but dont want to do too much to damage his legs.

What about walking him in hand if you have somewhere safe and suitable.

If you are lucky enough to have lots of fenced off land to ride on, perhaps he can follow when you ride out, or ride and lead.

I have tried walking him around the field,but he has tantrums to go eat with his friends LOL.

Would like to take him out but the road to the common has recently been taken over by 38 ton lorries who think they own the road- dont think we'd have much of a chance against one of them

Might give it a go over the weekend, and take a friend to hold his hoof
