I know I'm exremely lucky to have this problem, but can anyone suggest exercises to do in a really big arena?
The one at the yard we've moved to is about 80mx40m (built for reining) and I find it really easy to just amble about aimlessly!
I do use lots of linked circles and figures of eight of 18-20m, ride straight lines on the three quarter line for straightness and it's great for counter canter. Anything else?
I'm aware I sound like a spoilt brat and horsey is revellling in her new found freedom - we spent three years avoiding the bogs/ripped up membrane/washed away bits and broken fence in an old 40x20 before! So I'd like to make the most of what I've got!
