Any ideas? I try to make her work properly and hubby rides her in a harbridge so he can't go round with her head in the air. I have a pessoa too but any other suggestions?
Encourage her to stretch down and ride long and low. I'd go back to basics and work in a novice outline for a few weeks just to encourage the stretch. I'd also feed hay from the floor, not out of a net or rack.
Don't want to get you thinking too much but sometimes a horse with kissing spine develops the neck naturally up side down as the effected vertebrae cause muscle tightness and hollowing of the back and neck to relieve the pain. It can be a mild degree of kissing spine that can still effect the way of going. If every horse was x-rayed you would be amazed how many actually had a slight form of kissing spine as well as the severe patients that need surgery.
