Hi again,

I was wandering if anyone could give me some good exercises to be done in the school!!
my horse Monty will really just be coming into work this Saturday, he has don't bits but is very unfit and stiff. He has no topline muscle, shoulder muscle, bum muscle. He is muscle less. I don't want to make him fit straight away, as that's when you get mad horses. I just need a few muscle building exercises I can do in the school and work on with him. No jumping and no heavy cantering, the vet said I shouldn't jump him for 6 weeks. And only light canter work.

Also if any of you have brought horses back to work before and it was successful, please let me know what you did and some good tips would be very helpful as I am worried I'm going to do something wrong! :p

More about monty:
16hh
warmblood
gelding
his feed is, chaff, calm and conditioner, micronised linseed
12 years old.

Thanks for your help!

Walking out for weeks really is the best for fittening then introducing small amounts of trot very slowly . In the school stretching long and low and pole work to develop the topline. Make sure ur feeding the recommend amout of his c+c to get the best out of it
