my horse is affectionatly known as the "gorse" (the giraffe horse) at my yard. hes very leggy and gangly

i need any tips / tricks / exercises / experiences ANYTHING to help him pick his legs up quicker and neater.

have recently started doing more pole work and gridwork, started using bounces.
he jumps better when the fence is solid, so fillers or barrels work well with him, but i want him to be much sharper with his technique. when the fences get bigger, he just jumps higher to compensate, rather than snapping up his legs
any help appreciated! :)

V poles on the fence.

If you set it up on the second part of a double or at the end of your grid you shouldnt miss.

Start off with small fences and a wide v, and progress to bigger and narrower

not sure what v poles are?? we use A frames to guide the horse to the middle of the fence and sharpen reactions, best on the out part of a double as it centres horse and makes him quicker in front:D:D

ah thank you, i did think about these. i guess your both talking about the same thing, 2 poles going from the ground at the side, to the middle of the jump? will try this tomorrow!
