Just to let you know I was there today, and did keep an eye out for the current horses listed on here as stolen/missing. Unfortunately nothing there.

Queenbee - how thoughtful of you to keep an eye out and then to reassure everyone who is searching for their friend.

It was a bit of a heartbreaker of a sale to be honest, there were no really skinny horses, which is really nice to see, but the first 3 were morbidly obese, one was purchased as a brood mare, never bred from and looked like she had odema from the weight, all 3 of the first lots had serious fat pockets, over grown hooves and went for £100 or less :( There was a ugly cob, who went unsold (highest bid (670) badly put together, had been used as stallion, cut late and his sheath was all puffy and swollen and lumpy even though he was cut last year?! A few breakdowns, so cancelled lots. The sweetest very nice 11hh spotted stallion, very nicely put together and flashy, unsold (£70 highest bid :()
6 lots, one in foal to 15 hh, and the rest a mixture of fillys and colts to mature to 14.2 all spotty... max bids on these £50-£80...all unsold...

Absolutely appauling prices, there were a couple of really nice sorts, one a lovely 16hh, 6 yr old skewbald hunter type mare, whoever got her got a nice mare. An ex racehorse, fairly nicely put together, but unsold as the highest bid was only £500 (what do they expect for an ex racer at the sales?!)

I saw all the horses there, but didn't stay in the sales to see them all in the ring, as to be honest it was really depressing with the money and the obesity of the first 3 really set me in a bad way :( Its changed to Newton abbot from exeter, and I just feel that its harder to detach yourself from the horse in that sales room, its just so cramped. So I went to see how the tack was doing, as I had some lots for sale.

Im sitting on my hands, I have ben, and he's plenty for me, although, if I was in the market, I would have taken a punt on that skewbald mare. :D

Im there again next month, so will keep a lookout again
