Well its been nearnly 2 weeks since I bought lot number 75! previous thread I said about the hiccups we found (like not being broken lol) so progress..

hes remaning shoes have come off, he was a good boy for the farrier, the bridle issues are now behind us, we had a MAJOR isuues with lunging I was convinced it was all a big nap and low and behold the bugger proved me right, (responding to walk trot and stand is a dead give away!)
we are now working in the field finishing by a few minutes in the school.,

ive long reined him and yesterday friend had a sit on and he was very good until he decided he was tired and ground to a halt, he does have attitude but its not nasty more amusing! today we learnt about water and getting our tootsies wet! bearing in mind he has a nappy point to him, and i was working him in his field with his buddy grazing he was a star! we lunged through the water both ways and finished with a trot through it.

then this afternoon we went out on the roads for a wander and he had a bath! then i chopped his feather off,

so he is coming on very well not doing loads with him and not really bothering about the ridden side just the odd sit on here and there so he doesnt forget. But most work is ground work.

hes a lovely horse to be around and I think hes going to make a cracking allrounder.

piccie of todays water lesson!

F when he shifts hes winter coat hes going to be a bright bay, he looks a bit moth eaten so far!

MR shut up u ! :D

he is actully very willing, I will confess to getting my feet wet and the use of treats to get him in the water, but at the point he started to play with the water with his snout he got a smack on the bum and tod to get in! that was it he was willing afterwards.,

I like my horses to to trust me enough they go where i say go and i like them to do all sorts, not in a fluffy sort of way but for instance on our wander off the yard we looked at a very flapping flag, tractor, pallet of cider with flapping plastic.. dumb ass donkey wanted to bite the cans of cider, the flapping plastic was no worries!

What a clever use of your empties? personally I recycle mine but now I may indeeed do walks with the boy including his passing the plastic container with my empty bottles in it!;)

oh mr u are daft, they are all FULL id of robbed one but they have been sat in the sun for more than 2 weeks, i fear an explosion is due, but thats ok least i can then described Taio as bomb proof LOL.

Love your new pretty boy. He's going to be v nice indeed.

I was very taken with your 'water feature'. It's exactly what I could do with, for washing feet, teaching my silly mare (who looks just like a bigger version of your new boy) that she won't drown in four inches of water, and washing the dogs legs off after walks. What is the base - other than the lining which I can see?

I'm very jealous, and would love to know how you made it!

I actully have no idea what it is, possibley ment to be a jump ??? theres a water pipe that goes all around it to a trough so could be something to do with that,

its about 4 inches deep and looks to have thick plastick then rubber on top of that, i presume thats also whats keeping th ewater there!

thanks hunny, you would love him he has character but is a real people horse.

all ok this end, well apart from having 2 horses and being homeless as of saturday LOL.. these things are sent to try us.:D

Missed your first post but my goodness he is lovely. What a cute face:)
You are obviously being very cruel to him so you need to send him to me to be rescued:D

misst I bought him 2 weeks ago from exeter sales, from erm dealer.

the main story was that generally exeter is full of rubbish but my friend whilst i was in the middle of a mid life crisis made me buy him.. actully no she done the bidding i just had to empty out bank accounts to pay for him lol.

he was sold as broken hacking jumping etc but lets just say he sure as hell wasnt broken, backed maybe broken no, so ive gone back to basics and hes been done as an un touched baby.

he may need resucing as hes really not my sort of horse not even with the big ears and cute face!

He has been a very lucky boy. Just my type! Sadly I cannot keep another one. Though I keep getting tempted. I don't even ride anymore:eek: He is just super though there is something about that face:rolleyes:
