Well its been nearnly 2 weeks since I bought lot number 75! previous thread I said about the hiccups we found (like not being broken lol) so progress..
hes remaning shoes have come off, he was a good boy for the farrier, the bridle issues are now behind us, we had a MAJOR isuues with lunging I was convinced it was all a big nap and low and behold the bugger proved me right, (responding to walk trot and stand is a dead give away!)
we are now working in the field finishing by a few minutes in the school.,
ive long reined him and yesterday friend had a sit on and he was very good until he decided he was tired and ground to a halt, he does have attitude but its not nasty more amusing! today we learnt about water and getting our tootsies wet! bearing in mind he has a nappy point to him, and i was working him in his field with his buddy grazing he was a star! we lunged through the water both ways and finished with a trot through it.
then this afternoon we went out on the roads for a wander and he had a bath! then i chopped his feather off,
so he is coming on very well not doing loads with him and not really bothering about the ridden side just the odd sit on here and there so he doesnt forget. But most work is ground work.
hes a lovely horse to be around and I think hes going to make a cracking allrounder.
piccie of todays water lesson!
