Hi
Last week, I was put on a pony in my riding lesson who really tired me out. It was hot and we weren't doing too heavy exercises but I was extremely worn out afterwards. The pony would trot, the suddenly stop, like a green pony, but other than that she didn't have any characteristics of a young pony.
As she used to be a gypsy horse she struggled to canter because she ha only recently been taught the proper aid of canter.
Does anyone have any ideas of keeping her moving for the whole lesson (one hour)? I used my whip a bit but she wasn't very receptive.
Also, this lesson I'm due to have an instructor I've only had once before- and I felt like collapsing in the lesson even though I was on a forwards and positive horse.
Any tips? Any past experiences of horses/ instructors like this?
Thanks for any ideas

I agree with Cortez. Surely the answer is to say to your instructor "I need to stop for a break" and then carry on. It is supposed to be a sport :p
