Expected height?

My 5 year old ISH was 16hh when bought as a just turned 4 year old this winter have really noticed that hes grown and measured him last night and he was a smidge under 16.3hh would you expect him to grow much more in height or will he be more likely just to fill out now i keep getting told he will still grow untill hes 7 but surely not anymore in height his sire was only 16hh and his dam was no more than 15hh!? Tried the string test and hes bigger than it said but maybe i did it wrong.

My ISH grew an inch between 7- 8 he was barely 16 hands at 6 when purchased now 16.1 and a bit!, his withers have come up more than anything else but it is still obvious that he has grown.

Sounds like we could well be reaching the 17hh mark then
