Just got a phone call off rider currently schooling my horse to tell me she has broken her bridle!!Apparently he put her into stable and she rubbed her face against the door frame, got cheek piece caught on latch and broke it!!

so now aswell as paying the exhorbinate fees to have my nag schooled il have to buy a new bridle!! any ideas whats a nice bridle to buy for compeitions, etc?the broken bridle was a stubben one but if anyone has any ideas of a really good brand of bridle let me know?

Plus the horse has got a dose of mud rash on her hind leg im so peeved about that-the horses havent been in the fields all winter but because the hunting finished i thought it would be nice to let them out for a few hours complete with mud guard all over their legs i was actually feeling very smug that i had managed to avoid the dreaded mud fever this year and now im feeling silly!!leg has abit of heat in it and swelled up her heel has gone quite pink but there are no scabs anywhere-scrubbed with hibiscrub dried with a towel and leaving her in for the foreseeable future!!going to put cling film on tonight over a layer of udder salve and probably bandage to try bring down the swelling anyone have any ther advice?know its a topic thats been done to death but just want to make sure there isnt somethign else that i could be doing to cure it!!I saw on a previous post that someone was given fuciderm by their vet-i have the human variety of fuciderm that i was given for a skin infection wonder if it is the same thing?its a steroid cream?

Ebay is a good bet, other than that I have a John Whittaker for my best bridle and the quality is very good

This is my excuse to buy a new bridle!!was considering it anyway so this is my opportunity to do so without getting flack from my OH for wasting money! something like a passier or a kieffer or the likes though i have heard that the elevator bridles are great i think richard davidson swears by them?

I can't praise the Elevator bridles highly enough, I bought one for my lad and it made quite a difference. They're really good quality and will make them to measure for you, definately worth the money.

I love the john whitaker bridles but the one i want with the lovely brass clips comes with a grakle and i dont need a grakle!
Im going to look up the elevator bridles anybody know how much they cost before i give myself a heart attack?
