My big horse, who is 17.3 was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation and mitral regurgitation, when at Dick vets, lasy year, actually there for lameness issues.

The cardiac vet said I could try and convert his heart rythmn, but it has dangerous side effects, i.e death, so given he is 15, I thought maybe I would just leave him be. Hard to know, but I dont want to lose him, if at all poss.

He also has a 4/6 heart murmur,
Anyone had any experience of this, supposedly common in thoroughbred types, orion is kwn

Yes lots!

Surprised the cardiac specialist suggested to put the AF back into normal rhythm as unless you actually KNOW the actual timing of when your horse got AF ie within 8 weeks then you can actually change it back
