So I have just turned my horse out for first time in nearly 2 months. I had a caesarean 6 weeks ago and OH has been looking after him.
Got him to the gate and he started to shake and tremble.
Got through the gate and his whole body was rigid then trembling, and his ears were twitching and eyes darting about.
Couldn't see anything so started taking his head collar off, and the strange behaviour intensified.
Got the head collar off and he instantly set off like a bullet out of a gun, standstill to full gallop which he NEVER does.
Went back inside and told OH, who said, 'oh yeah, I've trained him! When u are taking his lead off, you have to make a noise like this (makes constant alarm type noise, starting low and quiet and getting higher and louder) then when you get to the end you go woooooow and that's when he runs away. You have to make the noise or he'll be gutted, he waits for it now. I trained him as a surprise, are you impressed !?'
*facepalm*
