Hello,

The front velcro on my horses turnout is a bit rubbish, so I'm forever finding the front of the rug held on only by the buckles, leaving a big gap at the front. When it's been pouring he ends up soaking wet, sometimes to his shoulders as the water leaks in so far!

I've tried putting on a shoulder saver, but again when it rains that just ends up soaked too, and he ends up cold.

So, is there anything waterproof I can put on underneath to save me buying a new rug? It's a good rug, (apart from this!) but because he is in it 24/7 at the moment I can't find a minute to take it away and repair the velcro. I'm sure I've seen something like it before but can't think what it was called!

Thanks faracat! Those brushes are a great idea, will have to get one! I've got a big stash of sew on velcro as I do quite a bit of sewing and making of baby bibs/blankets etc, but I'd need to wait until he goes into his heavier rug as he in it 24/7 just now!
