Expert tips for juggling things please :)

Hellooooooo everyone, currently over the moon as i went for an interview on Monday and i got the job **Yay** .......

I`ve only been working a couple of hours a day, but will now be working 30 hours a week. My horses live out 24/7 so that makes things a bit easier for me. I`ve sort of accepted i`m not going to ride now in the week (only free times will be mornings and that will be for poo-picking/haynets/feed and waters) .... But what else can i do to make things easier/quicker for myself.

I have a 9 year old son, so routine will be:

Up at 7am, sort chickens, walk dogs, make packed lunches up (myself and childs) take small one to school, go do horses, go to work. I am on a fantastic place where i keep my horses, with a lovely lady who can check the horses of an evening and just make sure they have water if it`s frozen so i don`t have to worry about getting up there after work ..... But what else can i do to make things easier/quicker for me.

Make haynets for the week, deep litter beds, try to poo pick daily to give you more time on days off to ride or dare I suggest a sharer? ;)

P.s well done on getting your new job! :D

just a small thing, but could you make packed lunches up the night before? Saves me a few minutes in my manic mornings! :)

Or get son to make them up. Nine years old is definitely old enough to be doing packed lunches - my daughter did her own when she was that age.
 
Congrats on the job. Could your son have school lunches? Making a nutritionally balanced lunch each day could take between 90 and 150 hours of preparation time during the school year!

That is young - good on her. Congratulations on the job. You will be fine - I have a 1yo, 6 horses on DIY living in and a 42 hour week job. Very hard at first but things just start getting quicker. Even if it means I have to get up earlier to make sure hubby is with baby whilst I am at the yard. Making lunches night before and putting them in the fridge/PSP game in the car in order to keep them amused if you have to take them to the stables first.

Funnily enough i had thought about this, and having spoken to him this evening he has said he wants school dinners anyway now as he likes the look of the puddings lol ..... :D

Crikey !!!! Well, i should have no problems fitting everything in then, you must be superwoman lol ...... Thanks for the tips, he he does usually have his DS/PSP when we leave the house, but it is much easier for me to do everything at home (other animals) in a morning before school, and then at least anytime with the horses is "my time" (he`s a 1st rate nagger lol, and he can`t nag me if i`ve dropped him off at school first) ;)
