Hi there, as a new horse owner I'm coming across lots of names for levels of classes I don't understand. If someone could explain, I would be very grateful. Some of the words are: newcomers, trailblazers, BE, pre-novice, team-chasing. It's all very confusing!! Thanks, Jane

ok im not the most knowledgeable in the world but here goes...pre novice is a level of eventing its after intro which is the first level and before novice..i think height wise its about 90-cm but someone may have to correct me on that one. Team chasing is riding a xc course in team of 3/4 me thinks 4 but again not 100%...BE is the organisation of eventing in britain. It stands for british eventing. as for the others im not really sure! hope this helps you a little bit?x

Newcomers is a class in affiliated showjumping - 110 cm for seniors, 1m for juniors
trailblazers is unaffiliated competition organization (sort of) they organize events in show jumping, dressage, showing

BE - British Eventing

Pre-novice is level of eventing competition
team-chasing is an equestrian sport, team of riders over a XC/steeplechase type course in shortest possible time, it's for mad people LOL
