I'm considering buying an Exselle dressage saddle, but can't find much info on them. Their website is full of blank pages and google doesn't provide much more TBH.

It's a good enough price that I won't mind if it doesn't fit and I have to resell, but would be great if width could be altered a little as possibly a tad too wide going on measurements - not sure if that can be done with Exselles?

Anything else you guys know about them...?

I think they are owned by another saddlery company now (Ideal I think but don't quote me) which may be why it is difficult to find any information. Not sure if that's any help to you or not though!

Anyone have any idea if the width can be altered slightly? I know some saddles have trees that can be made slightly wider or narrower. Although someone recently told me that all saddles can have this done by a saddler???

my friend has one - my god the flaps are straight even for a dressage saddle - when first look at saddle on horse its as though the flaps slightly point backwards!!!! - she has had to drop her stirrups 5 holes just so her knee doesnt go over front of flap - however she cant rise to trot well - her lower leg is unstable!!!!

eta - could be saddle or just not fit the rider particulary well

That'd be perfect for me - I am so petite I find it hard to find a saddle that my legs will go anywhere near the blocks in as am so short hip to knee!

I am considering having a saddle made for me by WOW as they made me a jump saddle (with 11" flaps!) and it is wonderful. They said the flaps would actually angle backwards slightly, so maybe will give this exselle a go.

Now just need to find out if it can be adjusted at all width wise

I have had a jumping one for years, its great, really comfy & now fitting the next generation of pony. As others have said I think they are made by Ideal.

My friend's pony is ridden in an 8 year old (I knew the previous owners who bought it new) Exselle pony saddle, it's lovely and still in really good condition.
