Probably should've posted this before my personal statement one :o but ah well..

I had my interview to do the extended diploma last week and have been guaranteed a place on the course, however, the college are very keen for me to apply to one of their degree programs instead ("WHY would you even WANT to do the ED?")

I know that I'll probably end up working as a groom to start with when I finish my degree, but I don't have a horsey family and was kept so out of the loop with everything when I helped out at a RS (just tacked up, groomed, did waters, turned out..) that I just don't feel that I have the skills to get me the job :(

I know that whichever course I choose, I'll be doing my BHS qualifications alongside it, would I learn sufficient from these? or would I be better off doing a course?

Thanks x

Hi again!

Basically I would just look at both courses - see what modules they have, how long each would take (I take it as 2yrs for ED and 3 for the degree,) whether you would prefer more hands on with the horses and general care or if you would prefer a science background and then decide which you're more excited about and what you think would be best for you personally :)

Good luck with whatever you choose!

I personally would go with a degree.

But it's totally up to you, whichever grabs your attention more :)
ETA Haven't seen your other posts, depends what you want to do long term :)
