Extended Neck

Just been to see a friend ride her recently bought horse. Noticed that it extends its neck in walk and trot......best description is like a 'camel'. Wondered if anyone has come across similar and if it is back related?

i've had some of mine do this, they just seem to be comfy doing it. i try to teach them to stretch their neck downwards as well as outwards so they are having a good stretch, and don't let them go hard/leaning in the mouth while they're doing it.
i always get their backs checked if they are having problems coming into an outline though.
