My pony has PPID and EMS amongst other medical issues and is on Prascend. She is now 21 and retired. For the last few years I have struggled to keep her weight low as recommended by the vets.
This year however although she is on almost ad lib fibre and a small hard feed as recommended by a nutritionist, she has lost too much weight in my opinion. She is rugged.
Her hard feed is 4 handfuls of Dengie Hi Fi Molasses Free, the recommended amount of Top Spec Anti Lam, the recommended amount of micronised linseed, a few bits of carrot and one Prascend.
I am therefore looking to add something to her diet to put some weight on and am thinking of unmolassed sugar beet. Any other ideas?
