eye clouding over...

I know this should be in Veterinary, but thought I might get more answers in here

I've just recieved a message from my friend, saying that her horses eye had clouded up, she was all in a tizz, and called the vet who is coming up at 3pm this afternoon.

Does anyone know what could cause an eye to cloud over, I know she will have the vets answer this afternoon I just want to reassure

Hey, my freinds horse eye clouded up a month ago... unfortunatly it didn't respond to antibiotics and the vet said that he would eventually be completly blind in that eye. Really sorry but i can't remember the name of the disease! It wasn't moon blindness though and was just "one of those things" not much owner or vet could have done.

But because it is happening gradually and he is in no pain he doesn't care... he still does everything he used to do (x-country, hunter trials etc) and will be expected to when the full sight in that eye is lost.
