Tawny has got a weepy eye. It’s a long ongoing saga and she is just coming to the end of her second type of antibiotic eye drops. There was, mid way through this month or more of treatment , a small bit of grit found jammed right up under her third eyelid.
She has been fluoresced twice and there are no scratches or signs of trauma. She is not at all winky or sore and her whites are beautifully white.
She was meant to be going back tomorrow but the ophthalmic vet is off sick. As she’s not sore I think I may as well wait until next week and see the same person.
Any suggestions as to why it’s still weepy?

Sorry can't be of help really but the other eyelid looks a bit droopy in the photo. Could she have a mild allergy to something which has been exacerbated by getting grit in the worse one?

She’s always had droopy eyelids, worried me terribly when she was younger and working but until now they’ve never been any trouble.

She looks a bit swollen over the nose area between her eyes, or is it just the camera angle? Have you tried her on a piriton a day?
I think it’s just the angle, she looks quite normal here in RL. I could try piriton, but if it was an allergy would it not be both eyes?

That’s interesting. How did they find it? They found the grit when I took her to be knocked out for a search but she’s such a good girl they did it awake. I wonder if the eyelid itself has suffered… something to look into.

She had a wee lump on her armpit, and we wanted her teeth cleaned and we said about the weepy eye and do it while they have her under, thats how they found it 😊said it was just enough to be irritating her

Has her throat and nose been checked fully, especially if you say it started after her dental.
I’m not sure. She seems to have had everything checked, we talked about the dental and they did check her mouth. It wasn’t actually straight after, there was probably a week between. She did have a grass seed in the affected eye that I took out which I suppose was day 1.
