Hoping someone can help, just got in from a quick trip across to tesco and noticed Roxs eye like this

It's always been slightly weepy since she was a pup but the vet has never worried but this afternoon it looks very red and puffy. Anything I can do to soothe it or is it a straight up vets trip??

I would put a used teabag on it to sooth it and if it's still bad in the morning get a vet visit.

Have a good look to see if you can see anything in the eye

Thanks, since posting this I think it's got worse (took photo so I could it as a comparison). Had a telephone consult with Vet as they couldnt fit her in tonight and booked an appointment for 9am tomorrow and been doing keeping it clean with plain warm water. Cant see anything in it but Vet has said if it gets worse she'll come out and wont charge call out fee.

By now you've probably seen the vet,but from the photo it looks like the third eyelid is swollen...the eye will benefit from hydrating...use regular washes with a gentle eyewash eg camomile...soak on an eye pad NOT cotton wool which leaves fibers in the eye.
on a daily basis I'd wash the eyes with opthalmic boric acid solution
If she is allergic, consider asking the vet for bentelan or piriton...but also consider having her tested for allergies.

Thanks for the reply, vet is confident its conjunctivitis so has given her fucithalmic ointment to be done twice a day, been cleansing it using the lint free pads I use to remove my make up. Looks better already :)
